Welcome to the Bloomhaven Nursery Growing Guide. This guide is designed to help you successfully grow seeds, starter plants, cuttings, roots, and bulbs.

Please read this guide carefully before planting. Growing results depend on proper care and environmental conditions.

🌱 Important Notice

All plants and seeds are natural, living products.

We do NOT guarantee germination, growth, or plant survival.

Success depends on:

  • Climate and temperature
  • Soil quality
  • Watering habits
  • Sunlight exposure
  • Gardening experience

🌿 General Growing Tips

  • Always use well-draining, high-quality soil
  • Avoid overwatering — this is the most common mistake
  • Provide proper sunlight based on plant needs
  • Keep soil consistently moist, not soggy
  • Avoid fertilizing immediately after planting

🌼 Growing from Seeds

  • Plant seeds at the recommended depth (usually 2–3x the seed size)
  • Keep soil moist but not waterlogged
  • Maintain consistent temperature for germination
  • Be patient — some seeds take weeks to sprout

Note: Germination rates vary and are not guaranteed.

🌿 Starter Plants (Live Plants)

Plants may experience stress during shipping. This is normal.

  • Remove packaging immediately upon arrival
  • Water lightly if soil is dry
  • Place in a shaded or indirect light area for 1–2 weeks
  • Avoid direct harsh sunlight immediately after arrival

Signs of shipping stress may include wilting or leaf drop — this does not mean the plant is dead.

🌱 Cuttings, Roots & Bulbs

  • Plant in well-draining soil
  • Keep soil slightly moist
  • Avoid overwatering
  • Allow time for roots to develop before expecting growth

Some cuttings may take several weeks before showing visible growth.

☀️ Light & Watering

  • Most plants prefer bright, indirect sunlight
  • Avoid extreme heat or cold exposure
  • Water when the top layer of soil feels dry

⚠️ Common Mistakes

  • Overwatering (leading cause of plant failure)
  • Planting too deep or too shallow
  • Too much direct sunlight too soon
  • Lack of patience during early stages

🌸 Patience is Key

Growing plants takes time. Not all plants grow at the same speed.

Some may show growth within days, while others may take weeks or longer.
